A crowd gathered at Thursday night with retailers like Target Corp and Toys R Us for shopping since early morning or say since night one day before. Thus people get crazy to shop in more civilised hour during this Black Friday.
Thanks Giving day:
The shopping was for Thanks giving. Many advocated on this while others do not welcome the same.
People got mad about their shopping and putting their full effort in doing the same. Wal-Mart Stores Inc’s U.S. discount stores, which have been open on Thanks Giving Day since 1988, offered some “Black Friday” deals on electronics like Apple inc I pads. There were offers from early hours for the crowd which can’t last till midnight.
Not only the electronic items and television sets but people purchase many other small small Items such as $2 towels, blankets, kids’ slippers and pajamas. If you see the northwest side of the Chicago city you will find Elston Avenue have a great crowd of highest volume.
Christmas & Black Friday:
Some of them are the shoppers for Christmas. U.S. retailer earns one third of their annual sales in holiday season.
The National Retail Federation forecast a 4.1 percent increase in retail sales during the November-December holiday period this year, down from the 5.6 percent increase seen in 2011.In a separate survey, NRF said 147 million people would shop Friday through Sunday, down from 152 million on Black Friday weekend last year.
The consumer going ahead for their holiday shopping should care about high unemployment and unforeseen higher tax burden which may levy due to the lasting effect of Sandy the storm that lashed the densely populated East Coast in late October. 21 percent of the people planning to purchase less while 11 percent intend to spend more.
Not everybody was happy with Black Friday starting earlier.
A petition asking Target to “save Thanksgiving” had 371,606 supporters as of Thursday afternoon. Some people realise the value of Save Thanks Giving and strictly move ahead against this reckless shopping.
